In 2006, To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen sets out to make television history. At the height of the show’s success, Hansen is presented with a major opportunity: a prime-time slot for live sting operations targeting suspected sexual predators seeking contact with minors. What begins as investigative journalism gradually turns into a televised spectacle of public humiliation, designed for repetition, ratings, and mass consumption. As the operations escalate and the mythology surrounding the show grows, the boundaries between journalist and performer, truth and staged reality, begin to dissolve. When a high-risk operation takes a tragic turn, Hansen is forced to confront the very system he helped build.
